Day 17: “The Quad killer”

By IanC on 26th August

Ian walking along a road in the rain wearing a fleece. Off to get some tea!...basically 70k of up/down/up/down….

Much cooler, in fact piccie of me walking for some tea in the peeing rain with fleece and coat on. South of france weather patterns as barmy as UK!

I seemed to be on my own for most of the day, chasing what seemed like a mirage of a runner that would appear then disappear in the distance.

I finally caught a small strung out group 10km from the finish, which put me on such a high after my day in the wilderness that I turned into Mo Farah through to the finish, forcing an easing down French runner into a 100 metre dash through the town. Well it is a race isn’t it?

.... Can i really get my trunks out tomorrow?!....
