Day 4: Is this a new race tactic?

Today’s stage was 67km, finishing in Chateaubriant just north of the Loire region. At 6.40am It seemed the biggest test was going to be dodging the juggernauts homing down on us in the drizzling rain: stand your ground or head for the ditch?
Having slept so soundly for the first time last night, I was still away with the fairies for the first 15km, almost sleep walking on autopilot. Fantastic new race plan!
I arrived at the first checkpoint to a second breakfast, oblivious to the distance just covered feeling rejuvenated and gradually picked up the speed. Running up the hills and walking down them continuing to seem like a good answer to my puffy knees. I even tried a bit of racewaking down a couple, although I don’t think I’d make a proper wiggler!
Finished feeling like I could keep going which as all runners know is a moment to be treasured!
Let’s bottle today and have the same good form tomorrow please.
